This is a hand-forged, fully functional Bard-inspired fantasy longsword — an original artisan tribute to the sword carried by Bard the Bowman, forged in Nepal from 5160 high-carbon spring steel, full tang, oil-tempered, and sharpened to a true cutting edge. It carries a broad blade cut with three long decorative fullers, an ornate gold-tone guard and pommel, a black grip, and a black scabbard with carrying straps. Every sword is made to order in your chosen length, finish, and engraving.

The standard blade is 30 inches on an 8-inch handle, for an overall length around 38 inches. The triple-fuller blade and decorated furniture give it the bold, heroic look of a fantasy longsword, while the forged 5160 steel and full tang make it a real sword you can handle and display — not a cast wall-hanger. An honest, hand-made interpretation, built in our workshop rather than stamped from a factory line.

How It Is Made

You set the spec — length, finish, edge, and any engraving you want on the blade.

A smith draws the blade from a 5160 leaf-spring billet and grinds the three long fullers by hand.

The blade is heat-treated and oil-tempered, then the edge is hand-sharpened to a true cutting edge.
